A photography tour of Banff, Yoho and Jasper National Parks
Continuing north from Glacier National Park, as we entered Banff we were greeted by the smell of fire and smokey skies. It was wildfire season, and the forest fires were raging out of control across British Colombia and Alberta. Some moments the skies were blue, the magnificent Rockies towering around us, but minutes later smoke blew in, and if one didn't already know they were surrounded by mountains they would have no clue! Luckily, the wind was in our favor for most of our trip, and under an ever changing sky we enjoyed what Banff, Yoho and Jasper National Park had to offer!
I used muscles I didn't know I had to scale Mt. Norquay for stunning panoramic views of Banff.
We saw unbelievable shades of blues and greens at Emerald Lake, Lake Louise, Lakes Bow and Moraine.
We drove the historic Icefields Parkway and saw massive remains of glaciers that once covered the mountain range.
In Jasper we saw fantastic wildlife and stayed at a beautiful, remote local ranch.
