I was born with an insatiable quest for growth and learning through exploration and engagement. From living in different countries and travelling to various parts of the world, I’ve met remarkable people, dived with spectacular creatures and captured Earth’s fragile beauty. I designed this website in 2017 to share my experiences by combining my love for photography, my passion for writing and my experience with design.

From the Caribbean to the Coral Triangle
The ocean is like a second home for me; many of my earliest and best memories are of being in or on the water with family and friends or exploring on my own. A certified rescue diver with over 20 years of scuba experience, I've been lucky enough to encounter a whale shark off Sail Rock in Thailand and marvel over countless sharks in Belize’s Blue Hole. In the depths of Curacao’s waters, I glimpsed into the haunted past, exploring a sunken ship resting 100 feet down under. Full of pasta, I’ve dove the historic sunken city of Baiae in the Gulf of Naples. Fascinated by macro life, I’ve dived in incredibly biodiverse hotspots in the Coral Triangle.

My love of scuba led me to
find love!
In 2017 I met my husband Adam while scuba diving near an uninhabited island off the southwest coast of Costa Rica, Isla del Cano. We’d each ventured there for the chance to swim with giant manta rays and, with scuba luck on our side, while descending along the line in the strong currents, two enormous mantas gracefully swam around our small group. When both of us depleted our air early due to that excitement, we surfaced before the other pair of divers and swam back to the boat. Fast forward to now and we’re happily married and living in England - though living here doesn’t give us ample chances to dive in tropical waters...
Not a dive goes by where I’m not immensely appreciative to witness such a magnificent part of our planet. I’ve seen vibrant, healthy reefs, teaming with life most only see in documentaries. But I’ve also seen marine life entangled in garbage, litter spread across the sea floor, and surfaced from dives only to come face to face with masses of floating plastic. Equally, I have seen a similar level of land-based pollution throughout my travels, especially in developing countries. Noticing these sad results due to negative human action has become part of modern travel. That, combined with the evolving impacts of climate change, has resulted in my goal to visit and capture these changing areas of our planet before they change even more, or worse, disappear.
As someone who has enjoyed so much of our natural world, one of the goals of my website is to show some of the incredible ways to experience it.
My passion for sharing our natural world has shifted to spreading ocean awareness and promoting change
Combining my passion for travel, photography and writing, my stories are written to bring the reader along with me so they too can feel the sparks of adventure and the awe nature induces like I do when travelling to these places. I hope my website not only inspires you to travel responsibly, but also to do your part in working towards a cleaner planet. I’m grateful to have made incredible friends and memories and continue to embark on enriching adventures, seeking new experiences, tastes, cultures & knowledge.
I believe we can all use our talents and abilities to make real conservation progress.
In addition to Sarina Seeks, I assist organisations with spreading awareness through visual and written communication. Some of my experience includes photography, pitch deck and website design, and a range of marketing materials including newsletter publication. Have a project in mind? Please get in touch with me to discuss!

Check out this incredible non-profit that I do marketing for: CouldYou? They are helping women and our planet by getting menstrual cups into the hands of those suffering from period poverty. These sustainable, zero-waste cups contribute to 11 of the UNSG goals by doing incredible things such as drastically reducing plastic waste from the use of traditional pads/tampons, providing an income for women through partnership of production, and paving the way for women to continue work and education instead of dropping out due to lack of menstrual supplies.
